Bay Area Events: Ever long to see the Sunset?

by Tawny Reynolds on Sep 14, 2016

Do you ever long to see the Sunset?  No, not the sun setting - although that's certainly lovely.  I'm talking about the Sunset District in San Francisco!  :)

If a trip to the Outer Sunset is on your list, Saturday would be a great day for it!  I'll be at the Sunset Mercantile fair from 10am - 3pm, just a mile south of Golden Gate Park. Sunset Mercantile has a little something for everyone including shopping galore, performance artists, a beer and wine tasting garden, kid's activities, locally made goods and delicious food!

Why not make a day of it? Take a leisurely stroll around Stow Lake or the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park, swing by our open air fair for an hour or two of local shopping, food, and beer/wine tasting, and finish your day on the outer shore - watching the sunset, of course!

Upcoming Bay Area event: Sunset Mercantile Sep. 17th, 10-3

When: Sat, Sep 17th, 10am to 3pm
Where: West Sunset Playground on 3223 Ortega St. in San Francisco

Sunset Mercantile is a festive pop-up open air metropolis featuring artists, crafters, makers, food artisans, budding entrepreneurs, small businesses and local causes. We feature a variety of entertainment, children's activities, shopping, and delicious food. The festival is an opportunity for vendors and the like to connect with the Sunset community and beyond in a fun-filled multi-faceted event that has a little something for everyone!

Public transit: Take the BART to downtown San Francisco, then catch the #7 bus straight there. Or take the N or L Muni Lines, with a 6 block walk at the end.  From the North or South, the #29 bus will take you there.

P.S.  Don't forget to mention this blog post when you stop by - you'll get 10% off your purchase at the fair!
